Quezon Series: Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel in Lucban, Quezon

Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel is perfect for a quick out of town trip with family or a weekend company team building. It is located just a few blocks away from Kamay ni Hesus. It has a lot of facilities and activities to offer like camping, biking and trailing.

The entrance looks so inviting.

The room that Ate Karla reserved for us was a posh Victorian-ish style bedroom with two double-size bed, a balcony and a crystal chandelier attached to the ceiling!

I love this flat screen TV!

Complimentary drinks, nice.

 Bathroom.

 modern-ish mirror & sink.

 hot & cold shower

Toiletries-- I love!

The resort has a lake where you can do boating, adult and kiddie pools (with slides, yey!), adventure camp (wall climbing, biking and camping), function halls and a view of Mount Banahaw. Honestly, I was really excited to see the different activities that you can do in this place.

The adventure camp.. reminds me of Caliraya.

The colorful bridge.

Love to cross this bridge!

There's actually a lot of things this place has to offer. We went here last June 2013 and the place was jam-packed with visitors. Service is "not really that good" since we experienced some problems getting our complimentary breakfast and checking-out. I really love the style of the room. The resort itself is clean and really big-- safe for kids.

Credits to Ate Karla & Ate Meg for inviting us! Thank you!

Quezon Series: Kamayan Sa Palaisdaan

Since I've been going to a lot of beaches for the past 6 months, I decided to join JM's sister on a quick trip in Lucban, Quezon province. It was probably 3.5 to 4 hours drive from Las Pinas (with stop overs).  Ate Karla, a local from Lucban, booked a room at Batis Aramin Resort And Hotel prior to our trip. It was nice to be with someone who knows a lot about Quezon Province.

Before we arrive at the resort, we stopped over for lunch at Kamayan Sa Palaisdaan which is located just a few kilometers away from Batis Aramin. The restaurant is very spacious and it offers a variety of seafood.

I love the floating restaurant and the somewhat strange statues. I also love that this place is child-friendly because there's a kids' area and a mini zoo for children to enjoy!

Since there were lots of people waiting to be served at the floating restaurant, we decided to have lunch at a simple hut near the man made lake.

We ordered Bulalo, Kare-Kare, Chicken, etc. and it was worth the price, I can say! The dishes we ordered were mouth-watering and tasted so good especially the Bulalo! Pictures aren't enough for me to describe how savory the foods were.

The ambiance and food are probably the main reasons why this restaurant attracts so many tourists. Will I go back to this place again? Definitely! My family will surely enjoy the food!

There were 8 of us (with two kids) and we spent about 1,300 PHP for lunch. Not bad!

Review: Lola Nanny's Surf Retreat and Restaurant

Lola Nanny's is a budget-friendly accommodation located in Urbiztondo Beach, San Juan, La Union. It is owned by Lola Nanny, Luke Landrigan's (Billabong Surfer, owner of San Juan Surf Resort) mother.

Lola Nanny's Resort

We chose this budget-friendly accommodation because  we prefer a simple, clean and a beach front resort. A fan room w/ shared bath is 500 per night and 100 per hour beyond the check out time.

They do have aircon rooms w/ private bath, but I'm not sure about their rate. You can easily find this place because it is located just beside Hacienda Peter & Kahuna Beach Resort and Spa. You can just tell the bus driver to drop you off at Sebay or San Juan Surf resort and you can walk at the beachfront to find this place.

Check in is at 2:00 PM and check out is at 12:00 PM. Anyhow, I would still love to go back to this place again!
