Manila: Partying The "Pubcrawl" Style

I have heard of Manila Pubcrawl through my blogger-friend Lois who had so much fun attending this party. So when I had the chance to join this party without spending any bucks, I immediately grabbed the opportunity.

All I have to do was to follow the mechanics in Lois' post, and then the Pubcrawl people will randomly choose 3 winners in Facebook and Solesisters. Tadaa! I was picked and got a free pass to this party! FREE! (I just saved 990 pesos!)

DJ Yabis from dreameurotrip.com and Julia Clarete

I missed partying so much that I never rejected any of the drinks offered to me. They had super fun games, as well. From all the bar hopping that I've been to, this was the definitely most unforgettable one. Heck, I'm not gonna turn 22 without experiencing an orgasmic party like this!

Manila Pubcrawl is a "pinoy-style" partying and bar-hopping. I consider this very unique because they use "jeepney" as their mode of transportation in their bar-hopping. They had it in Boracay before, but now they're in Manila in Quezon and Makati City, the best cities to party.

Included in this party are the free rides with the party jeepney, free entrance to 5 clubs (you'll save bigtime on this one), 10 FREE shots, 2 for 100 drink specials in each bar, Manila Pubcrawl shirt (best part!), get-to-know games, new friends and Manila Pubcrawl membership!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to party hard and have fun! I'm telling you guys, it's all worth it!

2013 Destinations

On a Saturday afternoon, I had a time to discuss all my travel plans to my mom.

Me: Ma, pag nakuha ko yung benefit ko sa SSS, maglealeave ako ng 3 weeks, lilibutin ko buong Pilipinas.
Mama: Ikaw bahala, malaki ka na. Hindi ka na alagain.

Hahahahahaha. Yes, I was dead serious when I told her that, but I think work won't allow me to leave for such a long time. While waiting for my "denied" SSS benefit (I was supposed to receive it last year pa, a few months after my cystectomy), I decided, why not make a list of destinations for this year? Who knows, I might be able to visit the places that I want to see & do the things that I plan to do.

First on my list is EL Nido, Palawan. Perfect for beach bumming. I'll celebrate my 22nd birthday here. ;-)

Second, surfing in Baler. (Still saving up for this, maybe one of these days..)

Third would be the Bangui Windmills in Ilocos Norte & the old Spanish houses in Ilocos Sur. I'll be traveling here for four days in August.

Fourth, climb Mt. Pulag. I want to be on top of the world! My dream proposal.. (EHEM! John Mark Bacay! tamaan ka sana hahaha)

Fifth, rock formation at Biri Island, Samar.

Sixth, Calaguas Island of Camarines Norte.

Seventh, Mararison or Malalison Isalnd in Culasi, Antique. Antique is my father's hometown and whenever I talk about this island, my parents just laugh about it. Bakit daw amaze na amaze ako sa lugar eh napaka-common na yun sa kanila. Okay, kayo na mga taga-probinsya! Because my parents live nearby, all I have to spend for is the airfare and the boat to reach this place.

Eight, surfing and diving in Siargao! Wow, finally, Mindanao! We plan to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary here (kung aabutin pa, hehehe, joke). Gusto ko sana sulitin ang stay ko sa Mindanao by visiting Davao and Cagayan Region too.

Have you ever?

Have you ever felt so numb? So numb that your tears won't fall anymore? So numb that you just want to think of yourself and let go of all the things that makes you sad. You want to let go of the things that makes you happy, as well.

I want to let you go. Not because of "trust" issues, but because I know that you're not happy anymore. That no matter how hard I try, it always ends up with sadness. I feel the need to give you freedom. The freedom to be happy with others, as well. I want you to feel that you can make your own decisions without worrying that someone might disagree. I feel the need to give you that kind of happiness that only you can find. It'll be much more happier if we have our own lives, if we live for our own self.

I think everything comes to an end. This is just a part of it. Maybe the reason why I feel so numb and feel less of a broken hearted is because I might be doing the right thing. I've been the happiest girl, this year. But I guess, I would be happier if I do the right thing and find myself again. I guess, being such an obsessive planner has an advantage. I did not plan this, but I was always thinking of this. I was always wondering whether to stay or not, even at the happiest times. I was just afraid to expect what would happen next. I guess I am ready, that's why I feel this way. I never really thought I'd be able to stand with my decision. But this time, I'm not crying. Siguro, nauubos din talaga ang luha.  Siguro naubos na. I was born without you, I grew up without you, and I guess I can live the rest of my life without you.

Let's get started

who is the traveling babe?

I always wanted to travel. Time & money didn't let me to. Working as an online teacher for Koreans, it's really difficult to ask for a leave because attendance is important to them. that sucks, right?

Anyway, I met this fine, young lad. I used to ignore him in class (still in college). He was VERY persistent in pursuing me. We belonged to the same clique in school. So, after a year of being consistently pursued, I finally gave him a chance "of a lifetime." Char. Now, he's been my partner for more than a year.
Isn't that sweet?

I'm afraid of traveling alone so after giving him the "chance of a lifetime" I knew he was the perfect match. Don't get me wrong there, but isn't it nice to travel with someone? So yes, we started traveling.. seriously.

Although I must say, we haven't traveled all over the Philippines yet. Since we just started backpacking early this year, I thought it would be nice to share my experiences to all of you.

What makes this blog different? I am very particular with the itinerary. The time, budget, and places. I'm a compulsive planner. I want everything well planned-- from the things to bring, the undies haha, the shoes, the time, the budget-- even the smallest things.

I read blogs, a lot.. I really like backpackingphilippines. I hope I can join Tutubi.. if there's an opportunity.

Anyway, I won't talk about myself anymore... I just want share a lot of things that I know.. through this blog.  AND, this isn't just about travel (but mainly focuses on places), this is also about.... everything-- from food, shopping, relationships, fashion & other stuff.

I'm not keen when it comes to grammar, so please forgive my future errors.

So God and bloggers, I hope ya'll help me promote this blog.

Thank you!
